About Kid Care Finder

Finding the right childcare shouldn't feel like a gamble. We built Kid Care Finder because parents in Westchester, Fairfield, Rockland, and Putnam counties had no reliable way to compare local childcare providers without wading through national directories full of irrelevant listings.

How We Verify Providers

Every childcare provider on this site comes from a verified Google Business Profile. We pull ratings, review counts, and business information directly from Google. We don't accept paid placements that override quality, and we don't fabricate reviews.

Here's what we check for each listing:

  • Active Google Business Profile with a real business name, phone number, and service area
  • Google ratings and review counts pulled directly from Google's API
  • Service area verification confirming the provider actually serves the towns we list them in
  • Business status check to filter out closed or inactive businesses

What We Cover

We list childcare providers across 7 service categories and 100+ towns in four counties. Whether you need a daycare in White Plains, a preschool in Stamford, or a tutor in Nyack, every listing is from a provider who actually serves that area.

Why Local Matters

National directories cast a wide net. That means you end up sifting through providers who technically "serve" your area but are based far away. We focus on four counties in the lower Hudson Valley and Fairfield County because a smaller geographic focus means better, more relevant results for your family.

Always Free for Parents

Searching, comparing, and contacting childcare providers is completely free. We don't sell your information, and we don't charge you to see ratings or phone numbers. When you call a provider from our site, you're calling them directly.
