How do inquiries work?
When a family uses the inquiry form on your Featured listing, you get their name, phone, email, what they need, and timeline straight to your inbox. You follow up directly from there.
What if the spot for my service and town is already taken?
You can join the waitlist. We'll notify you the moment the spot opens up. The current holder keeps their spot as long as they stay subscribed — nobody gets kicked out. First on the waitlist, first to get offered the spot.
How many inquiries will I get?
It depends on search volume for your service and town. Some combinations get more traffic than others. The best fit is for providers who want a fixed-cost local position and are comfortable building from local search over time rather than buying clicks every month.
Can I cover multiple towns?
One Featured subscription covers the local pages already associated with your listing. Before checkout, we confirm that none of those pages already has a Featured provider. If your service area needs correction, update or contact us before upgrading.
How is this different from Care.com or paid ads?
Care.com is a broader marketplace, and paid ads are a separate channel entirely. Kid Care Finder is narrower: local childcare, camp, and tutoring pages with one Featured slot per service and town. If you want a fixed monthly cost and a stronger town-by-town presence, that is the difference.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard or the Stripe billing portal. Your Featured status stays active until the end of your billing period. Annual subscribers get a guaranteed spot lock for the full year.
What if I don't get inquiries?
Then you can cancel. The plan makes the most sense when you want to reserve the spot, keep costs predictable, and stay visible as local traffic builds. It is intentionally a lower-risk fixed-cost option, not a promise of instant volume.
Do I need a website?
No. A strong listing can still work with just a phone number and accurate details. Featured providers can add a website link, but it is optional.
