About Kid Care Finder

Finding the right childcare shouldn't feel like a gamble. We built Kid Care Finder because parents across nearby NY and CT counties had no reliable way to compare local childcare providers without wading through national directories full of irrelevant listings.

How We Verify Providers

Provider records combine public business listings, licensing records where available, and provider-submitted updates when a program claims its profile. Google ratings and review counts are used where available. We don't accept paid placements that override quality, and we don't fabricate reviews.

Here's what we check for each listing:

  • Public listing details such as provider name, town, phone, and website when available
  • Licensing records for regulated childcare and camp programs where those records are available
  • Google ratings and review counts where a matching Google profile is available
  • Business status checks so closed or inactive providers do not appear as active options

What We Cover

We list childcare providers across 7 service categories and 170 towns in six counties. Whether you need a daycare in White Plains, a preschool in Stamford, or a tutor in Nyack, every listing is from a provider who actually serves that area.

Why Local Matters

National directories cast a wide net. That means you end up sifting through providers who technically "serve" your area but are based far away. We focus on nearby NY and CT counties because a smaller geographic focus means better, more relevant results for your family.

Always Free for Parents

Searching, comparing, and contacting childcare providers is completely free. We don't sell your information, and we don't charge you to see ratings or listed details.
