Mommy & Me
The Mommy & Me class is for children who turn 2 by December 31 and meets Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, with a gym class on Tuesdays and a music class on Thursdays. A parent participates in class, and enrollment is limited to 8 children and moms per class.
Curriculum
A play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that uses guided play and follows the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards, supporting language and literacy, math, science, creative arts, and social-emotional growth. Teachers hold degrees and certifications in Early Childhood Education.
Activities
Weekly music and gym instruction are built into each class's daily schedule, and each month special enrichment programs are brought to the school as 'in-house field trips.'
Meals
In the full-time program, breakfast is served until 8:30 AM and lunches sent from home can be heated. All food brought to school must be tree-nut and peanut-free.
Enrollment
For the full-time program, children must be toilet trained and must be three or four years old by September 1 of the enrollment year (a change that began Fall 2024). Orientation is held in August, the week before school starts.
